That's good to know :). Yea I was going to give it a good sand down with a fine grade paper then prime it. I've seen a plastic paint for hobby stuff seems pretty universal. It has worked on my center console so far. You didn't take it out fully then that's what I was thinking unless it's a complete ball ache to do that :s ??

That's surprising too with the amount of work that went into your jeep.

Is that my jacket on the back seat? And I remember when you cut that sign post too short, but it actually looks good that way, otherwise it may be too tall.

yep thats your jacket...look great draped over the back seat. Thanks again
Sign works out well at that height since it doesn't need to go into the ground

Does anyone else take their jeep to any shows and have you won any prizes?

Wow all those cool prop extras and no trophy??

I don't even stand a chance!

I'm still in awe every time I see pics of your car.
My JP12 is still a good paint job, new top, lights, and props away to even looking close.

just bought a jeep for this project...really just one question... where did you learn to work on cars with such authority? You seem to know how to tackle any obstacle with ease.
great job

I have always worked on cars, since i paid for them all myself since i was 16 , lets just say they weren't the greatest of cars when i was younger. Owning cars that need work teaches you alot. And since if you are on a budget you gotta do repairs cheaply. I also took autobody repair in high school vo-tech but that just taught the basics.
All my knowledge came from trial and error.
Cars were alot less complcated 15 years ago so these year jeeps are easier to work on then a 2012 Jeep.

Here is a example
I have had a overheating problem since i got my jeep. I thought the radiator was in need of a flush when i bought it. This did help my overheating problem for a few months after i did a flush and put in new coolent. This hot summer of 100 degree days have really put a hurting on my radiator. So after looking online i decided to replace it. It was a very easy fix and a new radiator from e-bay was only $70 shipped.

here is the old radiator i took out last weekend.....it looked like swiss cheese. I was adding water every few weeks and it would always boil off!
IMG_2450.JPG
IMG_2451.JPG
All said and done i saved myself a repair bill of around $500 or so depending on what the rate of the garage that would do this repair.
My jeep runs better than it has since i bought it and i got the satisfaction of doing it myself. I had never replace a radiator in a jeep but the internet is your friend....it can show you how to do almost anything

Good luck with your project and don't be afaid to try new things, just take your time and research what you are looking to do

Jack
