I got my new plates in the mail yesterday and just got around to installing them. They are personalized plates that say “JP 12″. Check them out:
Tonight is the first night it is supposed to have a slight chance of rain. As you can see the hardtop is no longer on, and I haven’t had the time to install the soft top yet. So I picked up this nifty Bestop cover that will keep the rain out. Pretty cool actually, takes only a few minutes to put on and take off.

That cover is awesome! We've had so much rain here this week I haven't had a chance to take my top off (thats what she said). When do you expect to start painting?

Hopefully around August as long as the guy I'm hoping will paint it is willing to do it for a good price.

I managed to pick up three Jabsco 135SL searchlights from eBay for the lightbar on the Jeep. These are the real deals as found on Jeep #12 in the movie. They are fully motorized and able to rotate and sweep almost the entire area of the Jeep! They normally retail for $200, but I managed to pick up these three for about $120 each. I just need to find one more.

You post stuff on your blog as if you were the one who discovered it.
maybe give some credit to the person or persons who have made the discoveries.
Just Sayin'

I have no idea who did. Was it Cyrix? I also don't think I have ever posted indicating that I did discover them.
I'm new to these vehicles and the Jurassic Park community... so I'm sorry.

Hey don't worry about that man. I think somebody is being kind of rude. We are all on here to learn and help each other out and I haven't seen any indication of you taking credit for anything. I like your enthusiasm about the project! And great find on the lights!

I ordered one of these two weeks ago from ThriftySigns.com. Its my own design that I submitted to them. Its a fairly decent plate, and isn’t too bad for under $20. I notice now that I made the 12 the wrong shape and size, and the I.N. C.R. needs a bit of work… but it gets the message across. The whole thing is several layers of vinyl, which I wasn’t expecting!
Boomerjinks is working on some new plates that should be closer to the real deal hopfully!

The plate looks cool, kinda like the orange background for the dinosaur. Oh by the way, I saw on JeepForum that you gave boomerjinks the color code for the door panels and you said you got your own door pockets. How did you get the pockets? Did you have them made? I would like to know what my options are in case I ever have to replace them in the future.

Hopefully it looks more yellow in person, cause yeah, it looks quite orangeish.
(TFTP, I hope that wasn't too rude for you)
