Ohh yeah definitely. I was actually surprised that someone near me was partaking in this hobby. It's great that these boards exist and people collaborate so well on here. Great source of info and like minded people. :D

Paint question: Did you setup any ventilation in your garage when you painted? or did you just leave the garage door open? attached garage or detached? Did your house smell of paint afterwards?

Detached garage with door and a window open. Wife would have probably killed me if did it in an attached garage.

You could probably do it if you did a really good job sealing up the door leading to the house.

I liked the "Drive-in movie" ideia.
Very funny.

did mine in a attached garage, put your garage door down all but about 20 inches off the floor , buy or get a old box fan and suck the fumes out the door. 2 box fan would be best, one at either end of the opening. You will destroy the fans with the paint but they are still usable as a shop fan in the summer. I had very little smell in my house, if any.
My wife said she could not even smell paint unless i left the door to the garage and kitchen open.

just go for it.....

The Jeep was in an event over the weekend. Some pics can be seen here and here.
