Hi Everyone!
Hi Everyone!
Hi my name’s Nick, I’m 15 and about to get my first car. Originally I wanted to get a classic car, but I’ve now decided to join you guys in making a Jurassic Park jeep. I’ve found a 97 TJ for $1700. I know it’s not screen accurate; it’s not even a sahara. I was just curious what your thought were and if you had any suggestions. Also, should I even bother with this jeep? I wasn’t sure. Thanks!
Re: Hi Everyone!
Pics? Condition? Ready for 15mpg fuel costs?
$1700 for a TJ sounds really low - makes me wonder why.

Unfortunately, no way to tell. It sold.
Re: Hi Everyone!
I’ve found a 1995 Jeep Wrangler for $3000. The guy won’t go down, unfortunately. However I might be able to scrape together that much. Should I go that route? I’ll keep you posted.
Re: Hi Everyone!
Obviously if you want a Jurassic Park Jeep, you should go with YJs. In the mean time, Check out Jeepforum.com or Wranglerforum.com and do some reading. They have extensive buyers guides that show you what to look for when buying a YJ or TJ. See what to look for, like frame rust, previous repairs etc etc.
Jeeps hold their value pretty well, so start hording cash and keep an eye out.
