Re: Jeep 20 - A TJ Build

A bit late now, but definitely invest in a step bit for drilling holes in the jeeps. They make super clean holes that only need minor sanding to smooth the edges and its very easy to control the hole size. I got these from harbor freight and with a coupon, they are a steal: http://www.harborfreight....

Re: Look what i Found in a 2nd hand store

Resurrecting the thread a bit, but same topic. I just found a brand new Jurassic Park Twin sheet set. Has both pillow cases, top and bottom sheet. All for an easy $10! Not only is it cool for the JP factor, but the same sheets were also in the movie Erin Brokovich, used by her son. Any other thrift ...

Re: Caught a Triceratops on the way home today!

Ive always thought about grabbing one of those and re-skinning it in foam latex for a realistic look. It may even be possible to just build up the latex over the existing fabric. Hmm, off to do more research....

Re: Walke2jd's 1992 Sahara Jeep 33 - Virginia

The event with Dave and Busters was last Wednesday. Everything went great with lots of JP fans showing up to play the new JP game and see the Jeep. Also scored some gift cards and play cards for participating, so sounds like my Birthday is taken care of! Everyone was asking if I had a page setup, so...

Looks great. Love what you did with the Ipad. Does it easily remove? Im not sure I would trust leaving that in my Jeep around here.

Re: Walke2jd's 1992 Sahara Jeep 33 - Virginia

When our club has done inside shows we are required to have less than 1/4 tank of gas and disconnect the battery. I've had more issues at an outdoor event, where kids thought my jeep was a jungle gym. Ropes will eliminate 99.9% of issues you could possible have. Yeah, parents these days are nuts. I...

If Flexidip is anything like Plastidip, you have to pull the tape while it is wet. I had a fiasco similar to yours with dry plastidip, a razor blade, and scratches, so I feel your pain. This is what worked great for me: Paint everything with multiple coats except the 1" closest to the tape. When on ...

Re: Walke2jd's 1992 Sahara Jeep 33 - Virginia

So, I just got approached by Dave and Busters. They are setting up an event to release a new JP themed game and want my Jeep parked inside the arcade near the new machine. Should be interesting. Just trying to figure out what I should charge and such; think I will ask for gift cards in lieu of cash ...

Re: Amber's JP 48 (Philly)

I did the same on my jeep; used the factory paint job and used plastidip for the red. It worked out great. Just take your time with the plastidip and do some research on how to spray it before starting. Its pretty forgiving, but there are definitely some tricks to getting it looking perfect.
