Re: Coulombe Enterprises JP #07 Clever Girl built.

Nice Jeep! That's awfully nice of them to supply a paint chip but it's still a crap shoot to say it's the screen accurate color.... Mostly because the Jeep has been repainted, and if it's the same people that redid the explorer, I don't think film accuracy was top of their agenda.... But yes, please...

Re: David's JP project (spike42718)

I'm going with a different light setup on the bar. Golight strykers. I think their lower profile will look a little better when the top is off. The only problem with them is there remote operated so trying to operate all 4 might be problematic. they all work on the same channel but small delays mig...

Re: David's JP project (spike42718)

The radiant fire as far as I know is a best guess just because it was another option for oem colors at the time. They weren't bound to use that color, and the red on film varies pretty wildly because of the filters etc. that being said, it is what I painted mine and I love it. For the 12, the only t...

Re: David's JP project (spike42718)

Not sure if you mentioned it anywhere here, but what number were you going with? I want to say everything has been identified except for the EXACT shade of red.

Those are beautiful. Unfortunately out of my price range, but I doubt you'll have any issues selling off however many you can make! Unless you accept 2 year olds as payment? (JK, please don't call DCF).

Re: CT TJ JP05

I would paint the surrounds to match the body color (like the YJs), and leave the turn signals orange, but at the end of the day, it is up to you.

Re: CT TJ JP05

I'm sure once I see it all done and together, I will definitely want to protect it as much as possible, so I won't take any unnecessary risks. Don't get me wrong, you can take it out in the winter... I took it out on Christmas day but only because it had just stopped raining a crap ton and the road...

Re: CT TJ JP05

Once it comes home I'll probably have to kick my brother out of the garage spot to keep it nice and safe inside. I'd love to drive it in the snow but you're right about the chemicals they dump here. I wonder if there is any sort of protective undercoating to apply to the underside of the jeep? I th...

Re: CT TJ JP05

Niiiiice. You got a place to store it? My father in law would KILLL me if I drove it around in the Connecticut winter with the amount of chemicals they put down every time there's a hint at snow or ice.
