Re: JP12 Build Thread, Jacksonville FL

Not a big update since I'm at a small roadblock in my builds progress, but I've just been doing some minor restoration on some of the smaller details. This weekend I did the seatbelts. Took some Simple Green and a soft bristle brush to clean them, used some chrome polish on the back side of the buck...

Re: JP12 Build Thread, Jacksonville FL

Although not screen accurate, I love little details like this that really bring a build to life. Its something you would think that an actual Jurassic Park would of done for the Jeeps.

Re: JP12 Build Thread, Jacksonville FL

Picked up a new in box REP6000. Not every day you come across a 20+ year old winch that's never been used. It's going to sting a little, but I have to change out the decals and add chrome tie rods to make it more accurate. I already sold off the other REP6000 that I had in order to offset the cost o...

Re: JP12 build… Harding County KY

If you want it to look stock then you should paint it sand beige like the rest of the Jeep. If I were going to paint my engine bay, I would paint it black. Hides way more dirt and looks cleaner in my opinion. But I won't be doing either as my jeep is not disassembled and don't see a point in taking ...

Re: JP12 Build Thread, Jacksonville FL

Haven't done much to the Jeep recently other than finishing the installation of the Noico 80mil. Although, there's not much left to do other than get the Deaver leaf springs installed, get some searchlight ring guards, clamps, and wire caps. Then it will be on to paint and light assembly for the fin...

One day you're going to make me regret selling it aren't you? JK! I have no doubt that you'll do her justice and build a very accurate Tour Vehicle! Keep us posted over here on the forums!

Re: Dennis Nedry Inspired Hawaiian Shirt

If you are in the Jurassic Park Motor Pool groups on Facebook feel free to post this. Much more activity there and a better chance for your project to gain traction. I know one of the members who found the correct print on a Jade Fashions dress attempted to recreate the shirts but didn't have any lu...

Re: JP12 Build Thread, Jacksonville FL

I think you would really benefit from joining the Jurassic Park Motor Pool Workshop group on Facebook. There are others that have more knowledge in certain areas such as the ACC carpet. And others that are selling the screen accurate RadioShack antenna bases. I've gotten a handful of accurate bases ...

Re: JP12 Build Thread, Jacksonville FL

Appreciate it! Luckily it's not that expensive. Just a bit time consuming installing it. So the screen accurate radio shack ball mount used in the movie is grey. I'll attach a screenshot from when you first see the Jeeps in the film. For the mount plate, if you're referring to the mount plate on the...
