Very nice Jeep! The soft top frame on the jeeps in the movie is the factory original. I have a Best Top soft top and it's much easier to put the top up and down with the hardware attached. Not sure exactly how it would look with the frame up but no fabric.

Well, I've decided to put this on hold again. too many projects going on that need attending to first, specifically relating to the full sized Jeep..

I've been waiting for the weather to warm up a little bit more so I can spray a few more coats of red plastidip on the rings. I was unspooling the cable and it turned out to be a rats nest. I couldn't pull out any more of the cable because where it was at in the picture, that wire sticking out had like 5 other wires wrapped over it so it wasn't goin anywhere. And I took about an hour to work on this today. It appears to only be a faulty remote switch at this point. One of the screw/nuts that holds the remote switch body together was missing, so I know the previous previous owner looked into it. I think the failure point was somewhere inside the connector...
