Oh! Possibly! Talk to JJ here and see if there's still time. They barely got mine in last week but let's keep our fingers crossed! comicpalooza@gmail.com Trying to get a hold of someone with Houston Garden Centers to see about setting up a few tropical plants for us. Really hoping they come through ...

I'll have my JP Explorer on display at the convention along with JP Jeep #29 (another Houston native!). It's short notice but I only got invited to do it last week. Would love to see some of you northerners there if you can make it!

Re: My Explorer Build Blog
It looks like a t-rex bit the roof off that car! I'm building my fiberglass roof box seperately using Cyrix's IOA templates, then mounting it to the car when it's done. I gotta go hit this local place up again for the plexi so my fingers are crossed that they'll actually do the work. They're capable...

Re: My "tour" Explorer WIP
Finally finished my center console. Relocated my warning lights and turn signals to the center above the AC controls, backlit using LEDs. Now I can get that stinkin dash in! https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/v/t1.0-9/10176003_10152040382292124_2314697406338283085_n.jpg?oh=30f77760289274a4...

Re: My "tour" Explorer WIP
Negative. How does one even strip chrome off? Same process as my last brush guard though; sanded the chrome, 2 coats of primer, 10-12 coats of paint. Used rustoleum enamel this time instead of the "trim and bumper" junk stuff. Wanted to achieve some gloss. Came out lovely! I got a quote from a local...

Re: My "tour" Explorer WIP
Some surface rust underneath but the chrome is flawless. A very rare thing indeed. I feel pretty lucky to have found this one. Not only did they make loads of variations of this particular guard but other manufacturers made Explorer guards too, this one being one of the more expensive and less commo...
