Check your rear shock mounts.
The design allows for water to sit and rust them.
Was airing up my tires and thought 'DAMN'
$25 replacement mount and got my local welder to cut and and weld this one on.

Surprisingly my wife and I flew out to the con and I didn't see much outside of the usual tags and patches.

I hate to say it but for $1,500 I'd make sure she is mechanically sound before venturing into the conversion.
