Re: 802 Build
I swear I have ADD sometimes... In recent news, I have started casting fog housings! Cast from a real Sahara fog, these are looking great. I'm collaborating with a local guy who is printing up an adaptor as we speak that will allow commonly available reflectors to used in these as well! Also my jee...

Re: JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
I don't even have a top for my Jeep. Luckily I have a garage, and only take it out on nice days. I'll eventually get a top, but the way I look at it, only JP12 had a top in the movies lol. Fair enough! Sadly, the Willamette valley is notoriously rainy lol. I could keep it in the garage, but it's cu...

Re: JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
I would think that telling them low-gloss would be enough, but i'm not sure if thats an actual term they use. Semi-Gloss is what is listed on the JPMP Reference Page. I was told Semi-Gloss and Satin are basically the same thing. Just make sure that both colors are the same gloss. I almost messed ar...

Re: JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
Just as a gauge, I ordered a gallon of sprayable Sand Beige and still have half a gallon left. Ordered 2 quarts of the Ford Performance Red and still have about 1.5 quarts left lol. If you do go with Single Source and have to have it shipped, make sure the colors are in the right gloss. That is sup...

Re: JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
that p blaster stuff is awesome for those. that and an impact gun This is what I'm going to try next! Already digging this! For stuck bolts, I always have the same solution- fix it with fire! If the PB Blaster doesn't work, then yes IT SHALL BE BATHED IN CLEANSING FLAME  I sent out an emai...

Re: JP18 Build Thread, Jacksonville FL
Got most of JP18 put back together today as well as the decals put on. Looks so much more "Jurassic Parky" with the decals. My 5 BFG KO2's should be here Thursday and i'll have my red rims mounted then. Other than that, I just need to get a Ramsey 6000 Winch and plate, whip antenna, rear fogs, and ...

Re: JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
also... put valve grinding compound on the end of the bit for a damn good bite. I little mud works as a substitute. I'll give it a go this weekend! And yes, I had sprayed WD-40 on the underside of the screw as well. It's just very stubborn. Another small update. Here are photos of the DUMB design o...

Re: JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
The rear fog lights were mentioned by me one time before but with the forum dying no one talks about the new discovery. They are not KC hilites. Dick Cepek is the correct brand..crazy but i really dont think you will be getting those right. I would consider them hens teeth and i would buy a set of ...

Re: JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
Solace, First off, welcome to the forums. Be sure to apply for the JPMP Facebook "Workshop" ground as well if you use FB. Thanks for laying everything out there with a detailed post. To address a few of your items: Paint - Try Single Source for your paint. I was referred to them from Jurassic_Vic (...

JP22 Build Thread - Willamette Valley Oregon
Hey Friends! Probably goes without saying, but I've been obsessing over these Jeeps since I was a kid. Grew up watching the movies, and fell in love all over again when I finally read the novels as a teen. I was only 19 when I joined forum back in 2009, but I was enthusiastic about following people'...
