Re: JP18 in Northern Ireland

Got the dashboard painted and fitted... http://www.bedfordrascal.co.uk/wrangler/Dash%20Painted.jpg I know spice isn't original there aren't many of these Jeeps over here and finding a grey dashboard is next to impossible. I would change it in the future if I do come across the correct parts. Then co...

I too love that text on the mirror. Mine only has it on the driver's mirror though - is yours the same? Is it supposed to be on both?

Re: JP18 in Northern Ireland

Tonight's escapades... Last night I repaired the dashboard frame - the corner had completely rusted off on the driver's side and really annoyed me. I was able to set a piece in and weld it flush. http://www.bedfordrascal.co.uk/wrangler/Dashboard%20Repaired.jpg I also flatted the half doors down and ...

Re: JP18 in Northern Ireland

We've had a nightmare of a time with the base colour - painted it three times since the photos above. Just couldn't get a decent enough finish. Anyway today we moved on to the red. It took all morning to measure up and mask everything. Major milestone reached though... http://www.bedfordrascal.co.uk...

Re: Starting up JP15 in Washington

Looking good. I'm pretty much at the same stage as you - are you going to paint the red stripes with the flares attached? I don't know whether to attach them and paint them or mark them up and paint them off the Jeep.

Are you using masks for the side numbers or vinyls?

Re: JP18 in Northern Ireland

The weather was great today so we were able to get the base coat colour painted. http://www.bedfordrascal.co.uk/wrangler/Painted%20Base%20Coat%201.jpg http://www.bedfordrascal.co.uk/wrangler/Painted%20Base%20Coat%202.jpg It looks very silvery in the photos but in real life there is a tint of beige/g...

Re: JP18 in Northern Ireland

Three weeks ago I started into dismantling the Jeep in preparation for its respray http://www.bedfordrascal.co.uk/wrangler/20160508_183243.jpg Since then I have been busy sanding, priming, flating, sanding, priming, filling, priming etc etc. I also removed the stupid european specification indicator...
