Re: When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth Banner
I bought the largest one they had, which looks like it is full-scale. I attach it to stanchions for form a crowd barrier at cons and other displays.

Re: JP #27 Build - Memphis, TN
I believe you can get nearly as good a finish with spray cans if you can do it indoors. The aerosol seems droplets are finer with a spray gun but it is probably a small price to pay if you are on a budget. Yes they do have top coats too, and I think a low gloss one. If not, they are available in spr...

Re: JP #27 Build - Memphis, TN
Since your are starting with a red jeep just like I did, it makes it a lot easier as you really don't have to paint that part. I painted the rest tof mine with spray cans. You can order the exact color 'metallic sand beige' from one of those companies that sells touch up paint on the internet. Type ...

Re: JP Gateway, jungle backdrop, and banner-barrier.
The generic jungle background was found on eBay and made in China. I made the JP Gateway though, primarily out of plywood. The pylons are hinged so they can be folded flat for transport. I am working on 'fake' electric torches now.

Re: JP #27 Build - Memphis, TN
Great find! I didn't think they made the Sahara in red, but see you have the running boards so I guess it is one. Great to see another JP Jeep in West Tennessee. We have two in Clarksville now, my #18 and Kris Peter's #29. In fact we will be making a display at a big park in Clarksville that will ha...

Re: JP Gateway, jungle backdrop, and banner-barrier.
Thanks, and funny you should say that. My 'real life' job is a Museum Curator for the U.S. Army, and right now I am at the Pratt Museum of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY.

JP Gateway, jungle backdrop, and banner-barrier.
Here's the latest improvements for my indoor Jurassic Jeep display. The full size "when Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" banner attached to stanchions makes a great crowd barrier. This has been set up at a few 'cons' in Tennessee and Kentucky so far. My Star Wars Dewback display can bee seen to the right.

Bossk's Jeep 18 versus Inflatable T-Rex in You Tube Video
Thought some of you might enjoy seeing this little video. The guy in the T-Rex costume is also based here at Fort Campbell, and made made a video that went viral of him shoveling snow in the costume. He contacted me to use the jeep in the second video here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elcley6lT1...

Re: Caught a Triceratops on the way home today!
Cute! I picked up one of these cheap at a local thrift store but haven't gotten around to painint it or taking off the handle yet. i was thinking of painting over the plush with latex paint, though maybe not if they've become that expensive now. I still have the Dilophosaurus that rides in the back ...

Possible Kentucky JP Jeep Event in the works
Had an idea for a possible JP Jeep meet and display and wanted to see if anyone else here would be willing to come. I am also involved with the 501st Legion (hence the Bossk avatar), and we were thinking about a visit to "Dinosaur World" near the famous tourist attraction of Mammoth Cave in central ...
