Re: Scott's Jurassic Park Jeep Build!
During my test fitting and installation I ran into a couple of problems. The first one was that my mounting plate was a kit made for the Ramsey REP 6000 and CJ Jeep. Apparently the CJ frame bolt holes and the YJ bolt hles are different. The CJ used a bracket that bolted to the sides of the frame, wh...

Re: Scott's Jurassic Park Jeep Build!
I received my Ramsey REP 6000 winch and mounting plate via UPS on 4/18/14. I found a very nice Jeeper in California, named Craig, that had removed it from a CJ. I called Craig up and after explaining my project I told him I would understand if he did not want to sell it to me, and I would not be off...

Re: Scott's Jurassic Park Jeep Build!
Okay so I decided to build mine as #29. I kept toying with the idea of using #14 because it is a lucky number for me, but since I am trying to make it as screen accurate as possible I wanted to use a screen accurate number. I thought about #10, but since I am going for screen accuracy that is not fe...

Re: Scott's Jurassic Park Jeep Build!
Of course! Sorry it took so long to get the pictures of the fog lights thrown up. Been a long last couple of months. Getting ready to install the KC lights next. Or maybe the winch. Hmm what to do...

Re: Scott's Jurassic Park Jeep Build!
And here are the pictures of them finished and mounted on the Jeep. Such a big difference from the cheap rectangular ones. It looks like a completely different Jeep. The lenses worked so well it made me realize how crummy my head lights were. So I am getting a new set of Sylvania SilverStar headligh...

Re: Scott's Jurassic Park Jeep Build!
Here are a few more pictures from the refurbishing process. One of the TJ reflectors has a dark spot on the bottom you can see in the pictures, but still a considerable difference.

Re: Scott's Jurassic Park Jeep Build!
Okay so I have not posted in a while due to a couple of deaths in the family and being extremely busy at work and with my business. Below are pictures to show how I refurbished the fog lamps I found for my project. I am still planning on having the original lenses re chrome plated, but for now this ...

Re: The Beginnings of my Jeep #12
So that's where the winch went. Was saving up for it. Glad it went to one of us.
