Re: Colorado JP #29
How did you remove the stencils on the stripes without smearing the plasti dip? I plan on doing the same thing until I can afford a paint job. I was thinking of gluing a button or something need one of the edges so I can pull it to lift up the edge of the stencil without disturbing the dip....

Re: JP 12 in Fairbanks Alaska
Ladies and Gents, So, I know I havent updated in like 2 years almost, but I was on a deployment to Afghanistan, came back and took a new position that pretty much destroyed my motivation, and now just finished a move to Alabama...so to say the least I have been busy. I did finish my Jeep build in Al...

Re: JP 12 in Fairbanks Alaska
Hey sfuflash, how is the SEM paint holding up? Have you been satisfied with it so far? I'm thinking about going that route rather than buying new roll bar pads. Also, if you had to guess, how many cans would it take to do a set of the pads? Sorry I am like 2 years late on this response HEARTYFIELD....

Re: JP 12 in Fairbanks Alaska
Ratrace, seeing your eager interest in the top I went ahead and tried it on one of the upper doors since I dont have the space to do the top right now (once I get the inside of the jeep together and can put it outside I will do the top. This is the upper door I have to work with. Its black and prett...

Re: JP 12 in Fairbanks Alaska
a step ahead of you ratrace! :D Picked up 11 cans of "camel" sem paint for the doors and top, it is slighlty brighter than Spice, but i dont think it will be a large ordeal. For the dask I picked up dark gray from the duplicator vinyl spray. Already tested it a little bit on center console since I w...

Re: JP 12 in Fairbanks Alaska
Had a pretty interesting day today, it was the first time for a while that it has been sunny all day up here and it got above 25 degree. It was such a gorgeous day and figured Id share a few moments that were also interesting. It was such a clear day we figured we would try and get some training in....

Re: JP 12 in Fairbanks Alaska
Sorry everyone, duty called once again and I had to go on a last minute training exercise for a few weeks, yay army...now then, onto the good stuff. DSC01315.JPG I had had it with the roll bar, it was coming off one way or another. The first step was I ended up making the round TORX bolts into a sor...

Re: JP 12 in Fairbanks Alaska
Thanks. Yup, 4 wheel drive does work, however, even in 2 wheel drive my 4x4 indicator light remains on. I wasnt gonna worry about it to much since i know when it is or isnt in 4 wheel. I was looking down around the front axles and wires do come up from there and go into a conduit, but havent gotten ...
